Education has as its primary goal the shaping of a person’s character and the transmission of all those elements considered essential for individual and social progress. As the Greek philosopher Socrates said, “education is a festival of the soul, for within it there are many sights and sounds for the soul.”
We live in an era of rapid technological development, but also one marked by numerous and varied global challenges: social, environmental, national, economic, and more. Education is therefore called upon to shape free individuals, endowed with moral values and inner strength, so that they can face these challenges.
The aim of our school, accordingly, is to cultivate well‑rounded personalities capable of meeting the demands of a constantly changing world, within an environment of acceptance, respect, cooperation, safety, and creativity. To this end, the entire teaching and non‑teaching staff, together with the children of Agios Georgios Primary School, will work collectively.
I hope that this online space will serve as a useful and meaningful channel of communication among the teaching staff, the children, the parents, and our entire educational community. I would like to thank our school staff, the Parents’ Association, and all parents for their contribution and involvement.
